A little insight of how it all started! The journey of the founder.
Creative director & founder, Adam Laws.
I guess this is where I write about myself, here goes. Let’s start with my dream, yes! you’ve guessed correctly I’m at the very beginning!
I’m on a self made mission to build a sustainable British luxury fashion house dedicated to little girls, everything in and outside the wardrobe.
The journey and dream started years ago with ideas, planning and saving up!
I would be lying if I said I have all the stops pulled, far from it – it’s going to be a long bumpy ride!
Sleepless nights, hours and hours of research, replying to emails, fulfilling orders and the struggle of marketing is a few of many tasks undertaken by yours truly! It gets better, I’m working on a shoestring budget!
Yes, if that’s not enough there’s more. In my subconscious mind I’m working on my next collection looking for ways to market my brand and trying not to spend money on false economy.
That’s enough of me moaning. I’ve set the bar and challenge, a bit more of positivity would help, I tell myself.
Side track, I try to eat healthy! Walk 10k steps (most days), watch almost anything on Netflix and at the moment I’d love or maybe need a holiday!
Going back a few steps this is how it all started. I flew out to Turkey a few years ago with the idea to learn about the manufacturing processes of apparel, which is exactly what I did but with a twist, guess what happened next?
I set up my own factory and very soon was commissioned to make garments for local and international brands, what an experience to say the least.
Keeping it short! After I gained this wealth of knowledge and experience I had to put it to good use, not only for the benefit of myself but for my fellow habitats of Mother Earth and all its nature and future generations.
Eureka, it came to me that my next journey in life was to set up my own brand, Baked Clay London – I named it!
