MOTHER EARTH & OUR RESPONSIBILITIES

SUSTAINABILITY

WE ALL HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY

At its core, sustainability is about creating a better world for future generations through the responsible use of resources. It’s about developing and implementing processes and actions that not only support the well-being of communities and environments but also contribute to stronger livelihoods.

Baked Clay London believe in responsible sourcing, conservation of resources and advocating for labour rights, integrating these values into every aspect of our business operations. This involves not just minimising our environmental footprint, but also providing transparency into the entire life cycle of our products.

We are committed to addressing environmental concerns including water conservation, reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and promoting biodiversity.

We are equally passionate about human rights, thus we have zero tolerance for unfair labour practices. We provide a safe and just workplace environment where every individual is respected and valued. We engage in open dialogues with our stakeholders including employees, partners and suppliers, aiming to build strong relationships rooted in mutual trust and respect.

In an effort to mitigate our environmental impact, we have incorporated circular economy strategies to minimise waste, promote recycling and drive towards a zero-waste operation. We continuously strive to optimise our processes, product design and packaging, thereby promoting resource efficiency.

Furthermore, we recognise that our responsibility does not end at the gates of our operations. We work with suppliers and partners who share the same commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices.

tree planting

lungs of the earth

For every dress purchased, we plant a tree as a means of promoting environmental sustainability. Trees are often referred to as the “lungs of the Earth” as they absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, helping to combat climate change. In the context of sustainable fashion, tree planting can help offset the carbon emissions and environmental impact caused by the production and disposal of clothing.
